Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

EUNO ("EUNO", "we", "us" or "our") is operated by Clark Developments, based in Pretoria, South Africa. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you use the EUNO mobile application and this website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information - your name, email address and the password you set when you create an account.
  • Profile information - optional details you add, such as a display name or profile photo.
  • Activity and fitness data - workouts you record or sync, including distance, duration, pace, route and activity type (walk, run or cycle). With your permission we may read workout data from Apple Health, Google Fit or a connected device.
  • Location data - while you have an active workout, we use your device location (including in the background when you choose to keep tracking) to map your route and measure distance. We do not track your location when you are not in a workout.
  • Rewards activity - beans earned, streaks, goals completed, rewards claimed and the partner cafes where you redeem them.
  • Device and usage information - app version, device model, operating system, and basic diagnostic and crash data used to keep the Service working.
  • Communications - messages you send us through the contact form, email or franchise requests.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
  • To record and display your workouts, beans, streaks, goals and rewards.
  • To calculate goal completion and issue the rewards you earn.
  • To show partner cafe locations and let you redeem rewards there.
  • To send you notifications you have enabled, such as reward and streak reminders.
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
  • To protect the Service against fraud, abuse and reward manipulation.
  • To improve and maintain the Service, including fixing bugs and understanding how features are used.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Partner cafes - when you redeem a reward, the relevant partner sees that a valid reward was claimed. We do not share your workout routes or full account history with partners.
  • Service providers - we use trusted providers to run the Service, including Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting and notifications) and Resend (transactional email). They process data only on our instructions.
  • Legal reasons - where required by law, regulation, legal process or a valid government request.
  • Business transfers - in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

4. Google user data

If you sign in with Google or connect Google services, EUNO's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We request only the minimum access needed to sign you in and, where applicable, read fitness data you choose to share. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not transfer or sell it.

5. Location data

Location access is used only to power workout tracking. You control location permissions in your device settings and can revoke them at any time, though some workout features will not work without them. Background location is used only while a workout is active and only if you allow it.

6. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time, after which we remove it except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures - including encrypted connections and access controls through Google Firebase - to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and review our practices regularly.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support.euno@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Children

EUNO is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.

11. Contact us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, email us at support.euno@gmail.com or use our contact form.
